Yes – If you wish to sign up to a fixed term lease of minimum 24 months you are welcome to pick out a vehicle that suits your requirements e.g: Make, Model, Spec, Colour, BHP, Manual or Auto transmission, fuel type etc. and any extras accessories, or additions you have in mind. Of course, we will permit baby seats into our cars, but it will be up to the renter/driver, to ensure that the baby seat is supplied (we don’t supply these) and installed securely and in the correct and safe position.

We do not allow baby seats to be fitted into our vans. Albeit in the unlikely event of an accident, the reason for this policy is safety, as passenger side airbags could be extremely dangerous to an infant in a baby/child seat directly in the vicinity of an activated air-bag. Also, please note that some manufacturers do not supply commercial vehicles with a passenger side air-bags as standard.

Each rental vehicle is provided with a policy booklet, which details the contact details of the breakdown assistance operator that will instantly recover the vehicle. The vast majority of our vehicles are also still within their warranty period, and would carry a breakdown assistance cover also. We at Go Rentals will immediately act to get a similar vehicle to your location and assist with the transfer of goods/luggage as necessary. If you still feel you have been unjustly handled due to the mechanical fault of the vehicle, please forward your concern to our Lease Manager, and/or Managing Director, and we will investigate this with the utmost of attention and will endeavour to bring the matter to a swift and amicable conclusion.

There is a company policy in place whereby:

The renter must notify an agent of Go Rentals immediately, (+353) 045 256800 or info@GoRentals.ie or 087-9677301. The vehicle will be assessed immediately on return. The damage will be photographed, and an estimate of repair can be available immediately if there is light damage. Or if there is severe damage there could be a delay due to pricing of parts, but a printed estimate will be available within 24hours of the next business day. The damage repair cost is the renters responsibility and the liability is yours alone to pay but if you would like to process payment through your insurance company, we can facilitate and assist. A claim will need to be registered with the insurance company, a claim number sought, and you will need to ensure your insurance companies’ assessor swiftly calls to site to view the vehicle. You will need to do this as it is your policy! Parts (if required) will have already been ordered as we will need to get the vehicle back on the road at the earliest convenience, and once figures are agreed with insurance assessor, the repair will be carried out and the insurance company will be invoiced. The renter will be liable too for the excess on your policy, which we suggest you determine immediately once you open the claim with your insurance company, this should also be stated on your original insurance policy document. If there are any delays in the insurance process claim then we will revert back to the renter for payment in full, and the renter may be liable for down-time of the vehicle also if the delays are excessive due to lack of effort on the part of the renter.

We reserve the right to charge the renter for all expenses incurred on callouts relating to incidents other than mechanical failure. These might include:

Incorrect fuel put in vehicle

Towing, recovery and storage of vehicle

Damage caused to any part of the vehicle which has caused the vehicle to break-down

Keys lost or locked inside vehicle

Off-road/in-ditch/non-standard recovery which takes excessive time to carry out

Punctures or wheel change

Vehicle rental while damaged vehicle is off-the road. Loss of earnings etc

On long term lease vehicles (1 year or more) we would encourage your own branding. We can assist with offering a price for supply and fitting of this. Renter/driver is responsible for the removal of this once lease has finished. We can also assist with the removal of same but again this may be chargeable.

Yes, but depending on the time and date of return. This must be arranged and confirmed with a Go Rentals agent. Charges may apply.

Go Rentals work on a simple Like for Like Policy. We aim to provide all of our vehicles Full of Fuel at time of collection, but this may not always be feasible. We will provide you the vehicle with a minimum of 1/8 tank of fuel, we simply ask that the vehicle be returned with the same quantity.

Should the vehicle be returned with less fuel than when taken, you will be charged at our current fuel rates which will be very similar to local pump prices, along with a “Re-fill fee”.

When there is ad blue involved with a vehicle, it will be given out at the start of the lease full of AdBlue and it is the responsibility of the renter to keep the vehicle topped up with AdBlue throughout the lease term.

This will need to be confirmed prior to lease quotation and execution. With an additional excess fee per km, which is charged monthly. We charge for any excess kms on a monthly basis. We will not be waiting until lease termination to process charges of excessive mileage/ kilometres driven. We can tailor the rental cost to suit your requirements once you confirm the estimated rental mileage which will be driven. This can be arranged with the Go Rentals agent prior to booking. We also offer one tailored adjustment of your mileage, for the remaining term of your lease which must be requested no earlier than ¼ way through your term. We will inspect the vehicle within the first 3 months of the Lease Term to ensure the vehicle is being maintained to a satisfactory standard, and to ensure mileage criteria is being adhered to.

Yes, when renting with Customers Own Insurance (COI). When travelling abroad, renter must inform a member of the leasing team by emailing lease@gorentals.ie and in the unlikely even of an incident, they must also ensure successful repatriation back to our base in Kildare so we require that all renters purchase either of the following prior to rental:

  1. a) An AA European 5-star policy which also covers accidents, breakdowns and recovery.

More information can be found here https://www.theaa.ie/aa-membership/european-breakdown-cover/

OR

  1. b) An Alternative, if you are travelling with Irish Ferries, further information can be found here: http://www.irishferries.com/uk-en/faq/insurance/

The next working day after the vehicle is picked up, the remainder of month is processed from the bank card provided. We set up a Direct Debit from the information you have provided to us with your bank, for payment on the 1st of the following calendar month, and each month thereafter, for the remainder of the lease term. We also require that a valid credit/debit card be maintained in funds at all times in case of any subsequent charges including, but not limited to e.g. valeting, fuel, excess mileage, fines, e-flow, parking, damage etc.

Yes, we can facilitate this requirement, but this may be chargeable, depends on availability, and circumstance surrounding the collection/delivery. This must be arranged and confirmed with a Go Rentals agent.

If the vehicle is on a flexi lease (6 months or more with 30 days notice to return the vehicle) then Yes, certainly we would be in a position to change out your vehicle for another vehicle.

If the vehicle is on a fixed term lease (24 months minimum) and was sourced specifically to meet your requirements, then No, we would not be in a position to change out your vehicle. Please discuss this with our lease agent prior to signing a fixed term lease.
